Thomas Frawley, Executive Director of the Schuylkill River Passenger Rail Authority, discusses the project’s status and explains why such efforts often take longer than the public anticipates.
In late summer 2024, Frawley reviewed all aspects of SRPRA’s current situation and provided some perspective on timing. Among the many projects managed by the extremely busy Federal Railroad Administration, the return of passenger rail service from Reading to Philadelphia—with stops in Pottstown and Phoenixville—stands out for its progress relative to FRA requirements.
